☆ Entry 001: Interview Meme

Taken from [personal profile] ranalinde

1. Out of all the video games you've played or books/manga you've read or movies/anime/shows you've seen, is there a fictional character you relate to the most?

Usually, I would answer this meme with Misa Amane from Death Note or Sana Kurata from Kodacha. They are energetic and lively. Knows how to play with the crowd. I want to change my answer this time and not go for the usual.

Because I am in a romantic mood lately for reasons I do not want to talk about, I will have to say Chidori Kuruma from Ayashi no Ceres. Like her, I am not the least bit shy about being honest about my feelings whether they are romantic or opinion. I am in love with someone and years ago he didn’t acknowledge me because even though he found me pretty I was just too young. Also, back then he was dating someone else. I assured him that telling him was enough to make me happy. Unfortunately, ‘someone else’ wasn’t exactly happy about me trying to get close to her boyfriend so to avoid conflict I cut all times with him telling myself that it was alright as long as he is happy. He is not here anymore but I still love him.

What I always loved about Chidori was her willingness to sacrifice everything for someone she loved. She was alright with Yuuhi not loving her and I can understand that. To be honest, just being in the same room and heart beating like a drum was enough for me even if his girlfriend was there too.

2. Since I'm really curious about the series, I was wondering if you could do a list of your favorite Persona games along with your favorite characters from each? ...If that's too much to do, you can just mention which game in the series is your personal favorite instead! XD

Strangely, I know most of the characters from Persona but I haven’t really seen or played much of the Persona franchise. I have done a lot of research about Persona 4. If I had to choose a favorite, I believe that would be it. My favorite character is Rise Kujikawa. I find her very attractive and it is not just the pigtails. She is fun and a lot deeper than people give her credit for.

3. What do you think is the appeal of the visual novel/graphic adventure genre in video games?
Story at first, and then the art. I have to admit though that I rarely have the patience and time for games. I make one or two exceptions from time to time, but only if they are really good. One of these exceptions is the Final Fantasy franchise.

4. Speaking of "favorites from 2011": which anime that you watched last year was your favorite and which one was your least favorite?

My favorite --- even though Kobato was from 2010, I watched it last year so I am going to say that it counts. I fell in love with it. It is such an adorable story that reminds me so much of Cardcaptor Sakura and CLAMP’s earlier works, the works that made me a fan of theirs. My brother watched it with and we laughed because we noticed that this might be one of the purest of CLAMP’s works. The artwork is beautiful, but that is no surprise because it is from CLAMP. I think the OST is adorable and it isone of those animes that I would definitely watch over and over again.

I am not actually sure if I have one but close enough --- my least favorite is probably the new HunterxHunter. I can’t really say I hate it. I think it has adorable art but I didn’t really watch a lot of anime last year. This is my least favorite. I think I am just a little bothered by the small things. Or maybe my heart is still stuck on the first HunterxHunter series. I am not actually sure. I watch it still because I am a loyal fan but I think I still like the first series better.

5. If you could meet any one famous person living or deceased, who would you want it to be?
Not easy. I love these two equally. Audrey Hepburn from (Movie: Breakfast at Tiffany’s and Roman Holiday) or Lucy Maud Montgomery author of the Anne of Green Gables Series but for very different reasons.

Audrey Hepburn was a beautiful person. Not because of her beautiful face but also her heart. She is a star that will never come again and she has the kind of grace that is so rare in modern times. Today, confidence is more important than grace. Maybe that is why I always preferred the classics. I want to take a photo of her, but also talk to her and ask her about her heart.

L.M. Montgomery is the author I grew up with. I first read her books when I was in elementary and even now as an adult I still enjoy them. I want to meet her and ask her how she wrote and where she got inspiration from. Since I was a child, I always wanted to write books for little kids and it is still a dream I want to reach for.
